Manchester (he/him)

I’m just having a conversation with a partner about adding couples or thirds and talking through the best way for us to do that.

Through my experience on here, I’ve found that different couples and dynamics lend themselves to differing ways of meeting others, so I’m wondering as to how you folks approach or like to be approached?

I found every couple are different. Some like to get on with it, while others are more of a slow burn.

With lots of conversations.

Both are equally enjoyable

I like to be approached in a straight forward manner. Lay your cards on the table, and then see if they're interested or not

I suppose the 1st step is a couples profile.

I prefer to meet people at the organised socials I need more than online conversation to find someone attractive I need a face and the person.

Having said that we've met some great people here.

As a man on here I don't get approached very often, but there's basically 2 types. Someone saying they like my profile, or someone asking if I wanna see their wife on telegram/kik/type...one approach is better than the other

Is a couples profile essential? We’re in a romantic relationship with our own solo profiles

100%. We would avoid if approached and presume that it's not legit. Sure some won't but that's the way we do it.

I hate to be cynical, but I’m quite sure it’s easy to set up a joint account even if single person…

We're at this stage, loads of communication needed and we do our meets at clubs. If it doesn't work out it's not going to be a wasted effort because you're still at a club.

I guess in terms of solely fab based interactions, that would potentially cut down on the time wasters. In clubs or at socials it makes absolutely no difference.

A couples profile doesn’t really indicate anything.

I’m poly and have 2 romantic relationships where we swing. If I had a separate profile for every dynamic, I’d never keep up! 😂

That seems to be the direction and thoughts that we’re heading towards

True, but not so easy to get the verification (we won't meet unverified), and we use every small reduction in risk to make sure we are safe and enjoy everything

I completely respect that. Thank you for your candour

Always suggest a club in these instances, there are a few that are not too far from Manchester if you don’t want to meet local people or be seen entering etc.

At a club you can have fun in a liberated space, see someone you fancy and make conversation, see where it goes. And if you don’t find someone you’ll always meet interesting people and be able to have some fun in a different space than you are used to.

Would recommend a club without membership first. But a lot are very reasonable for couples.
