Definition of a "time waster"?

This phrase is used on here a lot, it's plastered on the forums, on profiles, in messages and even though I choose not to use them I would imagine its also used in the chatrooms...but what is a time waster?
Is it someone only on the site to talk to people and use the forums & not meet? Doubtful.
What about someone that arranges a meet & real life throws up a problem meaning the meets is cancelled? Again no, this isn't one in my opinion.
I'm sat in a little chef having a break on my long drive home, I'm on here killing my own time till my toad in the hole arrives, I'm wasting time, but am I currently a time waster?
I'm really interested to understand what people class as a time waster? Even if someone arranges a meet, doesn't turn up with no message, I question if they were genuine, but still wouldn't call them a time waster.
Anyway the Yorkshire pudding clad sausages have arrived |

"My definition would be someone who wastes my time!!!!!"
So if someone chatted to you and then decided they didn't click and didn't want to meet, would that have been wasting your time or just how things work on here? |

OHH yes folks will say we only use the site to chat or forums....
But the clues in name of this site..it is not fabchat or fabforum. |

so u wait on them, they dont turn up..what have u done?"
But I don't "wait on them". If I arrange a meet I don't sit waiting for them, it's usually when I would be in watching TV, reading or even pursing FAB. So if they don't turn up my time isn't wasted, I've never cancelled something in real life for a fab meet, so I guess maybe thus phrase just doesn't apply yo how I use the site & why I'm not clear on what it means. |

we all have the right to change our minds... so if they is someone defination that would be harsh...
if I am sending someone an email.. the chances are I would have been on here browsing anyway, so I am not doing anything "out of my way" so to speak....
the only defination for me is if I have deliberately done something out of my way that I would not have done otherwise... so that is for me if someone didn't turn up....
people can change their mind even on the meet.... i don't think that should ever be taken away from someone for fear of having "timewaster" flung at them... |

Dont really mind people who chat away through here or anywhere else tbh but when they have set up a meet for a time and a place and you have gone to the trouble of arranging sitters or any money for travel and a room etc then when you try to contact them they have either blocked you or just dont bother answering messages/ txts then they become a timewaster
Have given some people the benefit of the doubt at times as they have said they are a single parent etc so you can allow for such things coming up with kids.
Now people only get 1 chance and should they not show up or have one of the many feeble excuses then they dont get a second chance and are blocked with timewaster and the date on their profile xx

Ffs this is a site for casual sex, if we arrange to meet someone it's going o happen as long as they know what soap is and how a shower works .
If you think your having cold feet go and do some knitting and leave it to those that hate knitting.

I know what u mean..but isnt the same case for many I'd say..and besides..when ppl start thinking they are the only person that u planned to meet, I prefer them to get perspective..lets just say I turn down two ppl that offer meets at the weekend, their only time to play, I say i cant, as I have a organized meet..then my meet doesnt show.. my times been wasted and possibly a crap weekend for me that I planned having laughs n shags
*have to say its not really happened to me in years..but it happens to a few on the site
when u commit to a meet it should be that, and when reallife gets in the way..its only courteous to explain whats happening
I remember sitting waiting on a girl..on her way, late at nite traveling by bus..texting her as she traveled..
never arrived..she stopped responding and yeahh, I was worried..she still never responded lol
it was ok though as she went online later..and in the next week wanted to leave the site due to timewasters..

So, even by your definition, you've arranged to meet them at yours, you do the housework, all spick and span, you changed the bedding, you shower, shave and doll yourself up to look your best and your sitting waiting on them and no one turns up or even lets you know they are not coming? And they're not a time waster? Wow must just be me then!
(Disclaimer, non of the above has happened to me, I filter out the dodgy one's as I hardly ever meet) Not for the want of trying mind you! |

Yes I understand this definition, still a bit woolly on the others, but guess we all use the site slightly differently.

I don't accomm at home, I either meet in my hotel room (I live in a hotel 4 to 5 nights a week) or at a club (Chams), I shower morning & bath in the evening anyway meet it no meet, I don't "doll myself up" as I don't wear make up. I will put on sexy undies and stockings but that's it really, so no your scenario doesn't apply to how I use the site or arrange meets. |

I do agree OP itsa term thrown about by angry types, when they are even at the pre-meet possibility stages

I think what I've said has been misunderstood, I class myself as well presented normally, I keep on top of waxing & shaving (not just for FAB meets), my hair is washed daily, my nails are done every 3 weeks (gotta love acrylics), I have a professional job so I have up be reasonably well presented anyway. So I may not go to a special effort for a meet, I am always freshly bathed, smelling nice and suitably presented. I think I made out or its be construed I'm a slob which I'm not. |

But you must do some things other than use fab or watch TV? Are you never in the middle of a something, say a good book playing solitaire, when you've had to leave for Chams or wherever?
And you say you've never cancelled something in "real life" for a meet - but surely you've had to turn down such plans for a meet. A good friend asks you for a drink, but you've made arrangements to meet someone from here, then they don't show. That would be frustrating, and waste of time. |

I work 10 to 14 hours a day and have a very active social life, so you are correct in thinking that I don't just watch TV & come in FAB, however I am the only singleton in my circle of friends, so most "drinks" have to be planned in advance with friends needing baby sitters etc, I honestly can't remember if I've ever had a clash.
If I arrange a meet at Chams it wound be at a time I would be going anyway, so no it wouldn't interrupt anything I was doing or had planned. I don't do last min meets and my life doesn't revolve around meeting people off here.
With that in mind, what you've said doesn't apply to me.

I don't believe there are any "timewasters"...only people who allow their time to be wasted, or people who are unable to find anything positive about an encounter...however small or brief it may have been! |

You're welcome, I've always found that even if it turns out the sex wasn't that great..its still gives me the horn meeting someone new...and just because the sex wasn't great for me doesn't mean that it won't be awesome for someone else! |
