The amount of profiles with this phrase plastered all over it, usually in 'ANGRY CAPS' seems to be the new craze.
Surely it's as pointless as the legal disclaimer. I can't imagine any fake profile users seeing a 'genuine people only' message and disappointingly close the page.
Or maybe they could just send a message saying 'I'm not genuine but...'  |

People do what they feel works with their profiles, sometimes it works sometimes its a waste of space its hard to tell. I do like some of the angry stuff it saves me time mailing to some and wasting my time.  |

You reap as you sow... I keep saying this, and it is VERY true about swinging. If you put up 'GENUINE PEOPLE ONLY' on a profile (in shouty lettering too!), what do you think you're going to get..??
However, I can well understand why people do it; the frustration can, at times, be almost soul destroying after spending often hours and hours talking to someone only to find they're either just a fake (and we've all done it) or you finally find out the one nugget of info which puts the kybosh on the chance of meeting.

I havent got that on my profile but ive given all the info I think is relevant and enough hopefully. I say no thank you if guys pics dont do it for me or they havent bothered with either pic or password. password is in middle of profile but you would be amazed people who say they cant find it. ergo they havent read it |

There's the others side to this one: how many times do we see posts on here saying "He was 15 years older than his profile said", or "She said she was into.." or whatever. The more you make things specific - specially when they're things someone can spend all of 20 seconds going into their profile to change to suit YOUR PROFILE - the more you give someone the chance to 'get in under the radar'. See it all the time..  |

I always see capitals as text that is important and to make it stand out.
I don't see the people as angry, never get that notion.
Genuine people only to me means those who have the same wants as the person.. So if the profile says they want to meet, then only people who genuinely want to meet |
