Do winks float your boat?X

I think they're a great way of expressing interest if you're not 100% sure of reciprocation. It's like the old days when we used to go out to meet people, a little wink could go a long way back then. All this online stuff seems to have made a lot of people forget basic decency and social norms.
What was it Mike Tyson said about social media again? |

Winks are a harmless bit of fun, a non invasive flirt that shows an initial interest. If people don't like them then they can just delete without being inundated with loads of messages.
I look at them and view the profile and if of interest will wink back, if there's a mutual interest then it moves to messages. So winks can work as a good filter.

I think winks are good way of initiating contact, as that way you don’t have to worry about getting lost in a flooded inbox, or even have your inbox flooded and only have actual conversations there |

I use them as a hey i like you, do you like me type thing.
Sometimes it leads to further conversation, sometimes it doesnt. A message is obviously better but messages and winks to many women on here are often ten a penny.

Wink is a great way to say Hi in a non intrusive or pushy way.
Especially with some of the very short profiles not giving much away.
Wink Wink Wink and an extra big WINK for those who don't like it Block because of it lol |

For me i use it as a way to show appreciation. And if they wink back then normally engage in the conversation. I imagine women and couples get their inbox’s flooded so it’s a good way of making sure there’s a mutual liking first |

"Not one bit. I ignore them because it's lazy.
Why is it lazy ?"
I get loads, more so from men. It saves time writing a message. I DO feel sorry for guys on here, but it's still lazy. Even more so when they have a mono-sybillic profile. I think some of them must wink all night !! |

Interesting. I think personally I find winks more.pkayful, and as.ik.sure you are inundated with messages, I feel you can look at my wink and ignore if not interested, rather than feeling obliged to read a message, or read the message, be interested and then the profile disappoints. |

"Winks can break the ice and you respond if interested "
•
It would take more than a wink to break the ice with me. If she's unable to handle a conversation better than she can handled a cock then I'm not interested. |

I always thought they were a form of ice breakers, to let other people know they are interested or something along those lines but I don't think this thought is universal so who knows? Still hoping it opens up a portal to some unknown undiscovered fabworld dimension where the party is 24/7 but one can live and hope |
