"If you message someone on here and it goes unread how long do you leave it before messaging again or do you just give up and move on?"
If it’s unread, it’s unread for a reason.
If you messaged me a second time you’d go straight on the block list.
May sound harsh but that’s the reality. |

We leave messages unread until we both have had a chance to read them. So it depends on how often we pop in. Also if we get multiple messages from someone we feel they are pushy and not someone we would want to meet so end up blocking.

"If there's been back & fourth chat then I'd maybe send another, if it was a 1st message that got ignored I wouldn't send any more.
They ain't interested."
If they don't read the message how do they know that they're not interested? |

Could have read it then changed it back to unread

Few ways.
From the profile picture (or lack of).
Can view a profile without opening a message, read profile, decide not interested,

1st thing when someone messages is to check out the profile, if it ain't for me the content of the message isn't either.
Also I mark back as unread. |

I will be honest, we are rubbish at messaging people back. It may say we are online but we are both signed in and bob in and out but messages generally we answer together. If yoh haven't read the profile and simply put a hi....to us that's no effort so unfortunately we do delete the messages just because we haven't got the time to reply to everyone that doesn't put the effort in |

We've just cleared our inbox of over 50 messages received over the last couple of weeks (we've been busy with normal life stuff so hadn't caught up for a while)
We only had time to reply to a few - mainly those who'd made more effort than "How's you?" or "Fancy a fuck?".
Just because we didn't reply, doesn't mean we wouldn't be interested another time, so would say don't block and if you fancy trying again in the future then go for it - it's impossible to keep track of everyone who messages us so no response doesn't necessarily mean no interest - it can just mean we're not free to engage/meet right now. |

"If you have a message unread and its like 2 days, block them before they block you lol it works both ways if someone is not interested.....their loss .... "
Although 2 days might not be long enough for both halves of a couple to read. |

I don’t tend to double message!!
My thing is….if I’m left on read I will delete straight away!
If it’s been sat for a week as unread I’ll delete….i imagine that a message in a woman’s inbox for a week will be lost and never ever found |

"I give up. Got to recognise the gen people. Messages mean nothing on here full of people looking at ur pics and perv "
being genuine means fuck all on here being genuine what does that even mean in a scene thats based on sexual attraction / personality / getting on ... being genuine being a good guy being a gentleman means nothing being any of them should be the norm ...
same goes for the guys who cry '' oh they ruin it for us good guys'' nope they dont just except the reason your getting no where is totally down to you ie nobody is interested ..yet stop blaming others cause its not them its you |

If it is a first msg to someone, I send it and delete it from my sent, that way I don't know if its been read or not. I do sometimes take a while to read msgs, I don't always check my inbox I just come on here to use the forums, I never read a msg and leave it on read tho, I forget to answer if I do that! |

I'm so glad it's not just me! Sometimes it takes me a few days to read a message and people have taken umbrage at that but it's just I get distracted by the forum or I'm busy with real world stuff. |
