I had someone message me a few days ago, and I had a funny feeling the picture was not right, so did a Google image search and low and behold it turned out to be a porn star from Australia.

I found a single guys profile with pictures of “his” cock inside different women, but I recognised 2 of the porn scenes. I messaged him and asked if he meets the women regularly, trying to catch him out, he said yeah
I messaged admin with the link to the video as proof, I don’t think he got banned…. |

It doesn't help that it can take weeks for profiles to be removed, and even then I've had a fake profile hidden only to me and for a friend to tell me they can still see it.
Or the same profile having 1x fake picture removed, yet the other dozen remain. (I mean - who says "oh yeah that photo is fake but the others almost identical are ok...." Really?!)
And this was the same guy posting the same porn pics (purporting to be him) on each profile he created every few weeks (as a gold supporter each time. WHY?! Or does gold supporter allow fake pics?)
IMO "reported photos" should *instantly* go back into the moderation queue and re-checked by the photo mods - and either whitelisted if its malicious, or entire profile blocked instantly if not. Mods should also have simple links on each pic to "check with tineye" and "check with google" (or have it automatic)
I've just reported another profile with a photo uploaded 5 weeks ago that was a simple reverse image search of a canadian guys porn upload...... So obviously was can't believe I'm the first to notice.

Well 24hrs after reporting photo and profile as fake, even giving link to the source material from Canada.....
....All that has happened is we have been blocked from seeing the fake profile by admin/bot, yet it still exists and the porn pic is there.
Thats why fakes exist - swift action is not taken.
I've been blocked/banned quicker when highlighting a swingers club owners prison conviction for sexual offences on a news website (for linking an external website!) |
