Has anyone come across rude replies to a first opening message?

I’ve had a couple over the last few days.

Not sure what defines rude in this context OP. And what the opening message was.

More info needed to answer

Not replying isn’t rude in my eyes… as a couple and a woman on here I can imagine the amount of message received can be huge so a reply to every one isn’t doable.

So I have said… hey hope you’ve had a great day and have made the most of the glorious weather, attached 2 face pictures

I’ve had a

“not fucking interested”

“I’m not interested”

“ Put some effort in to your messages!”

I class all 3 as rude.

out of curiosity, what would have made the “I’m not interested” polite?

Maybe a little more polite about it… after all we are all human.

I’m not interest but thanks maybe a bit more polite

So if someone has the courtesy to reply “I’m not interested” that’s classed as rude.

You do realise they don’t have to answer but then I guess you’d find that rude as well

I'm definitely Northern

You would rather no reply than "I'm not interested"?

I think you’re missing the point in the other 2 and focusing on this 1.

Okay so the other 2

Saying to put some effort into a message…you’ve given no context of what you messaged.

Swearing…yes I’d say that was unnecessary

Well you did state all three are rude. Two seem plausible. The other one is a bit more difficult to understand how that’s classed as rude and I response is tolerable.

Not really sure what the point of your message was tbh... But only the first reply was a bit rude... To me, anyway

You chose to add it to your list of rude replies?

I mean using the word fucking is up to them really but don’t see anything wrong with the rest of the responses. They’re not rude

“Thanks but no thanks “ I have had a few of. That’s fine-they do not owe me an explanation. I simply just move on. I don’t consider it to be rude.

anything you get that you consider rude just delete it and block the profile.

posting about it on the forum will not help and likely get ridiculed for it.

so delete/block and move on. not another thought.

"Has anyone come across rude replies to a first opening message?

Remember a % of profiles are blokes getting kicks out of pretending to be women or a couple I would suggest rude replies are probably from them.

If you were friendly and polite and didn’t message if you didn’t read the profile I can’t see why you’d get a rude reply.

Remember no reply is a no thank you it’s in the group advice bit

Block smile and move on

We've had 19 first time messagers today talking about the weather, it gets a bit old.

"Not Interested" is to the point and quick. Block and move on if you're not happy.

1000's more on here. Block the ones who annoy you, make it easier for yourself x

Sorry you’ve had that. But what was your opening message?

I’ve given a few rude replies before. I feel they were well deserved though.

Talking from personal experience we have only had a good response to a polite no thank you.

On occasions we don’t reply if we have too many messages and just delete the messages that have clearly not read the profile or just sent very lazy messages.

But on occasions we have politely said no and then for days and days after are send rubbish messages, so you can see why people get frustrated and snap a response.

We try to give people a chance before just blocking them.

If you get this response from lots of different people it could be you and not entirely them.
