I have to say we don't get many messages and those we do get are polite and well written. However my heart always sinks a little when I read their profile and I see the "Sydney University" bollocks. It makes me realise that although I don't mind if someone is a professional or if they are 18 or 60, but I really do draw the line at people who copy and paste that, because to me it shows a complete lack of ability to question something that is so completely shite.

I'm looking forward to receiving messages from people who have a little more analytical ability.

I think what is slightly more annoying is when the warning rubbish is longer than their profile

I would love to see someone actually try and enforce that ridiculous claus. Dear Judge, I posted some pictures on a website that is available for anyone to view and those naughty people at Sydney university have used them. I'd like to sue for damages please, can you help?

Not only that but I think Sydney university would be even more surprised they were being sued for something they weren't doing

I think when you get annoyed to that level over something on a profile it might be time to log off and do something a bit more exciting

I draw the line on those that would avoid someone who they claim "show a complete lack of ability to question something that is so completely shite" on something so petty.....

When you could just mail them and explain to them that it means nothing....

I'm not annoyed just a heart sinking feeling. It's not like the topic hasn't been covered enough on here and if they've been thorough enough to cut and paste you'd assume they'd also had a look around for why it's there.

Not everyone reads the forums though so even if it has been covered hundreds if Times they might not have seen that.

You mean educate them? Sadly it's not about knowledge it's about analysis and critical thinking. Why cut and paste the message without knowing why?

Question is why did you put it on yours

However only a small percentage of members use the forums so a huge percentage won't know and they won't or don't read the rules either

That's fine, but surely you'd read what you were cutting and pasting from someone else and have a little think as to why it might be the case??

Yes, educate them!

Instead of openly criticizing them...

And the question is, why didnt I put it on mine?

Because true or false I didnt give a toss

From our point of view, we have a selection of photos on our public profile and you are all welcome to see them (many of you might have a glance right now) we won't/can't/don't want to have sex with you all but you are welcome to look at our photos or else we wouldn't have proudly displayed them. This is the internet, which is a hot bed of skulduggery and naughtiness. Don't post photos or words you think you might regret later. If you choose to use our photos for a survey in Sydney university or a wank in Southampton its up to you. Enjoy!

Sorry for offending them perhaps as part of their education they should be aware that I'm doing research on gullible people via the university of Delhi. We need people to post their full bank details on all their posts with PIN numbers attached so we can exclude them from our research

But you are implying that people can read oddly enough, I didn't put it on mine when I registered as I was too busy writing the profile and then learnt that it was gargage

They definitely can read (evidenced by written profile) unfortunately I am also assuming they will read.

I'm of the same opinion. As soon as I see it on someone's profile I think, "Dense twat." Can't they think of something original to pad out their profile instead of posting that obvious diatribe that even the site admin has pointed out is needless and takes up unnecessary server space and bandwidth.

I didn't bother with the warning. I'd never sue anyway. The 'research' has been going on for years. Lucky sod who's employed to do it, I say

I find the jokey revamped versions of the Sidney University statement more tiresome than the original disclaimer.

Its such an overused and over rated joke that's seen time and time again that frankly it just isn't funny is it. I prefer originality rather the same old joke and regardless of thinking of different slants to put on it, its still the same old joke

This. And yes we do question why seemingly intelligent people just blindly copy it on to their profiles.
