Face filters on photos

Keen to know peoples thoughts (this is hypothetical. Not referring to any specific person)

So, you’ve been chatting to someone, it’s going well. You decide to exchange face photos. The person has filters on every one of their pictures. The filters are so obvious that it’s hard to gauge what they really look like.

Would this impact your decision to continue speaking with them? Would you ask for other photos? Would it put you off meeting? Or would it make no difference at all?

Ooh tough... not necessarily a deal breaker, but that's a red flag for me.

If I was still keen to move forward I'd maybe do a social with no commitment to anything else.

But if I was on the fence initially, I'd bow respectfully bow out

I don't know about on here, but I've seen people I know personally on Instagram etc and they literally look nothing like that at all in real life... It's scary haha!

I don't find aesthetics particularly relevant.

But the decision to keep masking when exchanging direct photos is more of an issue for me than it should be.

The problem for me would be that it shows a lack of confidence in themselves that they feel the need to use the filters....and as we all know the right amount of confidence is a huge turn on.

A don’t mind filters , you can really like someone online and it still no untill you meet them you have your final idea , wouldn’t bother me , a find folk on here overthink so much

Not a deal breaker.

However it does sometimes make us chuckle when every public photo is filtered/face blurred/covered in some way yet there are public videos and faces are visible.

We've gone to meet people for a social and even tho we have swapped pics we walk past them as they look nothing at all like their pics..
