Yes I always used to use a waterproof mattress cover which works quite well but I did buy one of them blankets and they work well  |

Have a Splash Blanket but got a large one which takes ages to dry once washed. In hindsight 2 smaller ones on rotation would be better.
They do a dark red colour too which can come in handy too |

Another vote here for the brand SplashBlankets, we've got two now which we use in rotation, they're comfy, absorb a huge amount of liquid, and are easy to clean and dry, we'd highly recommend them.
There's some videos and photos of squirting on our profile too

I’m glad to hear they actually absorb.

In the first few seconds if there's a deluge it can pool a little, but it soon finds it way to absorb in.
