I haven't used the wink for initial contact for a while as I didn't really get a responses or initial winks.
I mainly use it when there are games going on in the forum and it is just a bit of fun. |

Being a newbie it’s a decent way to kick off & gauge interest… that said being a newbie is half the issue. You get limited winks back & get little to nothing back when messaging. |

I have to agree with the last post. It's a mine field on here when a newbie . Sometimes you forget and wink once you've read a profile then immediately regret it cause you know it's probably going to get you blocked. Still learning the ropes still working toward verifications |

I get that many winks I can't keep up so I mostly ignore them.
Exception to the rule being women/couples. If I'm actively searching for potential play partners, I'll send them a wink to let them know I'm interested. If I get nothing back within a week, and I'm still interested, I'll just message.
So much to keep up with on here that I don't read too much into them! |

We still use the winks as a way of showing interest or not. If we get winked and the profile is appealing, we wink back. If we wink someone and they reciprocate, we'll follow up with a wee message.

Same here. Also saves time by knowing that if you get a wink back then there is some form of interest and then the messages start flowing |

I wink most times unless profile explicitly calls out not favoured or checked. If I really like someone will follow up a day or two later with a message or sometimes skip the wink and go straight in with a message.
If I get a wink in return of a wink I message straight back.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a winker. I think it's probably more polite from a single guy. Women and couples inbox must get bombarded from single guys, so it's a way of showing interest. It's very rarely reciprocated unfortunately |
