Though I would share with you this evening’s little humourous faux pas!
Picture the scene, a Couple has invited me over for the evening, all a bit last minute but here I am following google maps to the location and looking for number (let’s say 85)… the postcode leads you to the rear access (oo er missus!) so I turn around and find the front… ah there’s 85!
Down the garden path I carefully walk so as not to cause a scene, drinks in hand, knock on the door… a couple opens the door both in their bedtime attire… “can I help you?” She asks…
Me: “are you not expecting me?”
Woman at the door: : “no…”, “ who are you looking for?”
Me: (now realising I’m at the wrong bleedin house!!) fumbling to find the right thing to say, obviously I can’t give the name of the correct address or people as wouldn’t want to be less than discrete!
I joked that I think I’d got the wrong postcode etc and soon found the correct address!
Honestly! Never happened before, don’t fancy it happening again! Haha |
