They might not want a gay guy to show as a friend.  fear of it putting the ladies off. Me..... I couldn't careless. Bi gay straight. Straight with curly toes. If some one is a knob head then they are a knob head. Matters not what they do sexualy |

Some dude messaged me yesterday. Just saying hi. I found it a bit weird as this is a sex site, so told him I was straight and he replied he was too, even though his profile says bi.
I don't care whether someone is gay, straight, bi or whatever and f I got to know people through the forums or socials who were male, fair enough, being friends is fine. But regardless of someone's sexuality or motives, I am not really on here looking for male friends and unless I knew them, I would be slightly wary. |

We have no issues with anyone's sexuality, a simple "no" is all it takes to reject unwanted advances, if that "no" is not respected then we wouldnt want to be friends with anyone who didnt respect our boundaries. Simple   |

Gay, bi or striaght are only levels of attraction
However in the uk bi and gay male still carry a stigma left over from the 70/80s which is very sad straight of affairs.
I've had some of my best nights out with a group of my friends
I used to go drinking in a gay club purely because the attomsphere was nicer
Pre-finding my mild bi side I was always happy to say sorry your not my type to either men or women that I didn't find attractive. |

Then maybe putting that in the message is a good idea? Lol. I have only been on this form a short while but I think one of its greatest strengths seems to be its diversity. There are disagreements but not, as far as I can see, much discrimination.
However, whilst I am a sociable chap and not averse to conversing with like-minded individuals irrespective of their gender, just messaging me enquiring after my welfare no matter how innocuous it may have been, is not likely to be met with much interest, especially if it is a male. And if I think a dude is trying to chat me up, then it's thanks but no thanks. |
