Has anyone has people say they won't meet you as you live to close to them. Like if the are less than a mile they won't meet you. I personally don't see the issue unless your cheating on your partner. I mean it's not like most people wave and shout hiiiii if we saw them in public...I certainly wouldn't unless we give each other permission. |

"Don’t shit where you sleep…
Things don’t always go the way you hopped or planned and the last thing you need is seeing that person everyday! "
Surely you just ignore them then... alot of people seem to do that normally ? |

Exact opposite in one instance...
....after exchanging messages here to start, then emails and texts, leading eventually to a phone call, the discovery that we lived on parallel roads - virtually with in sight of each other's houses - led to an immediate "come round for coffee?"...
....less than 10 mins later, I was sat on her sofa with a coffee, and one thing soon led to another, and another - and subsequently to a number of "Want to come round?" encounters when she was feeling horny... |

I prefer to keep to my local area, hotel or their place. My days of travelling to meets are via public transport are over. If a guy is willing to pick me up and drop me back home then that's different. |

We carefully filter the local people we would potentially meet, before disclosing where we are.
Have been lucky to have made some nice friends that are just the next street but are sane and able to realise we don’t need to be in each others pockets.

I think meeting local is better for single males because you can have some really fun friends close by so it’s not a drama organising a meet, obvs they have to be sane and not clingy but yeah I don’t see a problem in it but can see how it might be for couples or people with family’s |

Until you know somebody quite well you have no idea what they're like. For us It's best if there's a distance between you in my opinion.
We did meet a guy at an organised social who turned out to live in the next street. That was fine he was very friendly and chatty |

Think it also depends where you live. If your in a big city then it's less likely to get that awkward meet in public.
If your more rural then that public meeting can happen quite easily. A lot of trust in discretion. |

"To be completely honest I don’t have a problem with meeting local. We are all adults and as far as I am concerned I am 100% discreet what happens behind closed doors stays there "
You might be, but not everyone is. |

I prefer to meet people that are local as I have found the further away a person is the less likely they are to turn up.
Also it means they can be more available. |
