Hi just need a bit of advice..I have attended a club before and really enjoyed it once I got over my nerves.
This evening I am attending a party but it's being held in a house. Are parties the same sort of vibe as being in a club or a lot different as they are smaller? I am attending as a single guy…
Hope this does not come over like a bit of a dumb question… |

"Just be yourself, chat to people, be friendly, don't stand there wanking.
Yes, treat it as the same as a club,
"
Oh god I would never stand there wanking that would look very odd….
Thanks for the advice x |

"I find house parties a lot easier, as they’re smaller I find it a lot easier to mix with people.
Just get chatting and you’ll never know where it’ll lead

Well I am quite a chatty person so as you say you never know lol x |

I find house parties much more stressful than clubs as smaller space and not as easy to get away from people who don't take my fancy. Also, a lot of the times, it's a lot of drinking/socialising first before anything happens. As I hardly ever drink, particularly not in any potentially sexual environments, I find house parties more difficult to engage with. |

All the advice above - be a normal, polite guest and do all the stuff you would do if attending someone's home for a social event (bring a bottle, respect their space, don't outstay your welcome etc etc). But additionally, don't have any expectation that anything will happen - smaller groups, it's easier for something to dent the vibe than in a big more anonymous club (I went to one house party which should have been fun, but the host had unwittingly invited two couples who'd previously argued at a club and poisoned the mood completely for everyone else). So in short, be normal friendly and decent, plan for the best but don't expect anything, and enjoy meeting some new people. Have fun. |

House party's beat clubs for us, they are much easier to strike up conversations with multiple people as long as the host has been selective in who is invited. Generally all will be in the age group we are looking for, of similar level of looks, similar levels of swinging experience and we have 100% play record at parties, clubs we only play maybe 10-20% of the time. |

Yes this did cross my mind as it is a lot smaller environment just hope it's not rammed with people.. |

"You can just use the events tab- search - then it gives you options of all or specific type meets .. just click type meet you want to search … hope that makes sense sort of .. lol "
Thankyou will check it out, usually only use the most basic searching |

"I know this isn't what the post is about, but out of curiosity how do you go about finding party's? We have only ever seen club meets being discussed xx" the forums I’d say I know in the Welsh forums there are parties being added to them most weeks & add your name to that post

Agree. At house parties there are going to be people you don't want to play with. At clubs you can say "nice chatting" then go on your way.
At house parties you can't. |

We have never been to a club and only ever been to one house party.we went in a room with a couple. The man disappeared Cammy ended up playing with the woman on a bed surrounded by men watching. It was a great experience. We now need to try a club |
