"hi guys , we are having trouble getting fab on our mobile phones . any help would be , errrm, well , helpfull . lolHas your age restrictions been lifted ?"
Ooh, good point, I'd forgotten that our service providers (ha, indeed) sometimes restrict what you can see on your mobile! Time to contact voda/o2 etc to get any restrictions lifted. That's the only thing I can thing of that'd be stopping you. |

Doesn't matter what phone you have, if it has age restrictions, it isn't going to get Fab until you lift them. |

Opera mini works perfectly, it compresses and encrypts the data, so presumably doesn't trigger the age restrictions.
I'd wondered why my EE phone never asked ... now you've made me think about it I can understand why.
Although, the built in Android browser seems to work fine too ... |

For those 'embarrassed' about asking for restrictions to be listed by service providers - don't mention the real reason - just say you need access to a gambling/bingo site!! |

Take care. I got the age restricted message a couple of times so I clicked on the link to remove it and it started to ask for information on "the credit card used to purchase". Immediately I smelt a rat - I think it some sort of scam/hacked web page so I binned it. Never happened since. |

I didn't even need to give a reason, just went into the shop and asked for the age restriction to be lifted and it was done within 10 mins. |

I just contacted orange to get the 18 restriction lifted. Said it could take up to 24 hours to which I replied "what a whole day with no porn, your joking" was out my mouth before I said it lol.
They ll know why we want the 18 restriction lifted anyway |

Fabswingers cant be accessed if you have age restrictions on. If your on Vodafone, you need to ring them and have ya credit card details, it costs a whopping £1 to lift the restrictions. Hope this helps. |

"Just get the Fab app! Easy peasy..
there is no app. It's a mobile site. And if you don't have the restricted content lifted then you can't view it."
yeah there isnt an app but i have bookmarked the mobile site and have it as an icon on my home screen

If you are going through your mobile provider on 3G then you'll have to get the age restriction lifted.
The reason a credit card is required its a proof of age.
Age restricted material covers a whole host of age restricted sites and not just porn.
Opera mini will circumvent at the moment on O2
If you're going through your wifi at home you're not actually using your mobile provider so you be ok.
It's just easier to get it lifted.

contract providers shouldn't be a problem, coz you already have to be over 18 to have the account. I don't have a credit card and EE lifted it no problem, just by asking for age restriction to be lifted. You don't have to justify it. Pay as you go's can be more difficult. Three require your passport. O2 do it there and then. Vodafone and EE I can't say as never had to do it with those networks xx |
