best way to workout is have a plan on what you want to get done and stick to it especially if you stuggle to motivate yourself whilst training, always start with legs release testosterone into your body to then fuel the rest of your workout |

I always train everything as I’m not sure what days I can get to the gym, I do always start with legs tho think I enjoy the punishment |

"We both enjoy the gym and spend most days in there
What's your favourite exercise mines deadlift mr bench press mrs hip thrust
Oh I see I'd like to do better at bench" practice practice practice it’s the only way to get better we don’t deadlift as it’s bad for your back unless you’re form is perfect the problem is the more weight you add it’s hard to keep perfect form |

"Yes. Trying to find a decent gym local to me, not many options.
It's tough in it. Commercial gyms too busy and proper strong man gyms so expensive "
That and a lot of commercial gyms will have a big area filled with empty treadmills but a much smaller area just for the weights which is always packed. The only thing stopping me making the jump to a proper gym is that a lot around me aren't 24 hours. |

It’s funny because the shitty little powerlifters gym on an industrial estate I went to and worked at almost twenty years ago probably had more than eight squat racks and that was just the norm for that kind of gym back then.
Curious to know, as a previous manager of a couple of gyms, what makes a gym “one of the best in the UK”? |

"It’s an mma gym the place is massive you will never need to wait for equipment it’s on YouTube if you want to take a look for yourself "
I don’t remember the last time I waited for equipment in any gym I’ve been a member of tbh. Except the tiny little gym in a school I worked on where I trained with my bestie and it only had one deadlift platform. It did have six squat racks though. |

Update aging equipment
Good regular maintenance of equipment.
Cleanliness
Adequate facilities, e.g changing rooms, toilets.
Listen to your customers and a little bit of sense. For some reason my gym has invested in new machines that I've probably seen one person use since installed because they aren't really needed.

Haven’t lifted properly in over 2 years due to having both hips replaced, ( well still waiting on one as it was cancelled last week, altho now booked for 2nd May) so 6 weeks to get back to a routine of going.
I used to lift for ego, chest press was always my worst because I have very long arms but found ways to build it, this time I need to focus on my lower chest as even after 2 years I can still see the muscle movement on the upper.
My squats were 250kg x3
Deadlifts were 300kg x 3
Leg press was 600kg for 10 ( couldn’t put any more weight on it
Arm curls with 25kg
And all with perfect form.
This time round I’ve a sync interest in those types of number, focus on form form form, and TUT with volume.
I have to train in the evening as once I’m done my CNS is done, can’t even have full conversations |

Last year I got a bit slack in going. Since new year though I've been going consistently. Initially 3 full body sessions and now PPL with a full body day thrown in as a bonus.
The gym I've been going to is decent. The only thing I didn't like about Pure and The Gym group was there was only one deadlift/squat rack and it was always busy. |

There is TheGym group not far from me I tried a pre movie, the weights area was probably the size of my living room |

The Puregym near me has four squat cage (two with platforms) and two squat racks. My only irritation is that the platforms are next to the functional fitness area and some bellends go in late and night and cover the whole area in chalk which makes the platforms slippery for those of us in before the cleaners. Twats. |

Sometimes it's like lifting after Tony Montana. The state some of the equipment gets in. |
