Is the online relationship dead? I’ve found that you can create extremely strong feelings for someone you have never met before. Do people on Fab search for this? I know I would. Ry x |

I did years ago. But then I realised that every single online relationship I’d engaged in was with someone lying about who they were, googling things I was interested in and pretending to be interested in them too etc OR we’d eventually meet in real life and there would be 0 chemistry or again - they were a fantasist.
So for me yea online relationships are completely dead. The partners I do have are predominantly real life friendships first and foremost. |

How will AI change this? |

"To me, online relationship mostly means romance scam so no, thank you.
Sounds like you or someone you know has been burnt before?"
I don't have to have personal experience to be very wary about anyone professing undying love to me or wanting to be with me for the rest of their lives in one of their first messages, after not even seeing my face pic. Luckily, I am neither that gullible or that lonely to believe there is no hidden agenda. Also, there are relatively regular news report about people being scammed by those who they were in online only relationship.
So thanks, but no, thanks. |
