After being away from the scene for a few years I'm back and have noticed a variety of changes.
One of the most significant seems to be a significant rise in status updates referencing couples being let down.
As someone who has always prided himself on his reliability but struggles to get meets, I can't understand who these people are who are lucky enough to have a meet arranged and then are no shows.
Has there been an increase or are people just being more vocal about calling out this behaviour? |

There has been a big increase in people not turning up for meets.
When I first joined (14 years)it was maybe 1 in 10 that didn't turn up now it's more like 1 in 10 that will turn up.
As for couples more and more are single men, at least 50% |

It’s amazing when you post a meet you get swamped offers and absolute confirmation of turning up then on the day it’s either radio silence or some lame excuse why they weren’t on.. had 3 guys mothers die the night before a meeting in the past..who knew fab was so deadly  |

Sorry, are you saying that 50% of couples profiles are guys pretending to be a couple? If so, that's depressing.... |

That does happen and quite often it is the guy fantasising about his wife with another guy. In the majority of those cases I’d wager that the wife doesn’t know anything about it.  |

To be honest I think I am underestimating the percentage. It's amazing how many times the wife is suddenly called into work. |

cant remember the last let down on this account or our couples account just very very selective and never plan anything more that 7 days away if it take more than 7 day to meet then the more you'll get let down ...
i dont use phones cams apps email nope everything is done via fab if im meet from fab ... i think after 3o years on the scene you get to know + theres groups of us who away from fab share those who are abusive / dreamers / messers and it works a treat (share screen shots) |

Having been on here 10 years I have noticed the amount of no shows is exactly the same. It surprises me that single men complain constantly about not being able to get a meet, but fail to show when they do. I would estimate that 90 per cent are no shows and fantasists but that is the nature of the beast. |

A lot of single guys really do give us genuine ones a bad reputation.
If I say I am going to meet, then I meet.
If there is a meeting that I I am unsure I can make, I won’t commit myself.
Perhaps the ones that don’t turn up and constantly let people down should be banned from the site. |

Been on and off this site a few times but lately we are finding more and more single men being time wasters, not saying every guy is as met some very nice guys.
Can’t see what they get out of it?
We message, have the phone call then they bottle it when making plans to meet or they don’t turn up
It’s very frustrating |

I don't know how many people used the site 10-15 years ago but I'm assuming more use the site now and being able to log on your mobile increasing the number of daily users so more time wasters,
The site is just wank material and a fantasy site for a huge amount of people but mostly Men, Nothing wrong with that until they start involving other people about potential meets |

It's not all one sided. I've had 3 meets off here planned with couples. Have turned up to all 3 bang on time. and.... they're a no show.
Seems like single blokes aren't worthy of even a message to say sorry we're not coming. Quite often get treated like shit even when they've made the first move! |

It has got to the point where I always do a reverse image search if I’m tempted to initiate contact with someone that has public pics, particularly if they’re new. The number that turn out to be ‘borrowed’ from elsewhere is quite alarming and makes me wonder why the check can’t be done by the site when they are posted? |

So many let downs on here.arrange something and then it all goes quiet. Am sure it’s the male of the couple just getting off on the fact that another man desires his wife or girlfriend.

We only meet at clubs so don't really have an issue with single guys pretending to be couples.
Is it not easy to detect, via verifications and/or making sure you're able to talk to their partner before arranging a meet; or is that too simplistic? |

We have only really had it once, it was a couple we had met before at a party and got on great. About a week before the planned meet it was radio silence and that was it. They have since messaged apologising and trying to strike up some chat over the following months but
after being let down it was a no-go for us , once bitten and all that . Peoples time is precious, free time is precious and can be really hard to organise.

Been on many similar sites for many years both as a couple and as a single. Always had time wasters but also many good meets. For us we found most of the couples had very old photo's and not great hygiene for some. So often when we met we would say sorry just got a phone call so have to cancel. But found most men we had vetted first and chatted with were great. |
