I get the why to WhatsApp as messaging is easier, sending photos etc and if you want a conversation over days/weeks etc WhatsApp is easier to use vs here they got lost etc.
However I don’t like using WhatsApp straight away as I’m not keen on giving my number out straight away, which telegram is good for but then hassle.
A feature which isn’t used often is if you become friends on here, and message you can see a separate inbox from just your friends… |

It clearly says on my profile that I don't have any messaging apps and will only chat on here, but I still get asked regularly and it's always no.
It's a good filter as it shows they haven't read my profile, delete messages move on . |

We just say no, we only chat on here or in person.
