Has anyone else noticed a massive rise in fake accounts lately?

I’ve had countless fake single women and couples accs message or add me as friends and it’s slightly concerning as some even seem to have fake verifications.

Fake verifications are pretty easy to get, people actively ask for them and will write one in return. There has always been fake profiles, they're easy to set up after all, not sure how you'd combat them really. Must be an overwhelming task for admins I imagine!

Yeah I know! And with the green flag photo verification it doesn’t mean they match the ones on the profile either!

Not being funny either, men would be pretty easy to convince to give fake verification. I’ve had a few message me and I always tell them to get lost! X

It's impossible tbh, I usually ask for a live photo on snap, telegram etc so I know it's legit

Plus you can get them without warning. Weirdly I've had them from men whose messages I've ignored and they have written them for attention... usually "hi" like their original message. You can't delete them. I'm not keen on verifications anyway but that's partly why I don't show them as its not a true reflection of the meets I've actually had.

Ah the fake profile thread, we haven't had one for a few days.

Yes there are fake profiles, usually couples but occasionally singles.

Fab "fake" meaning - a woman who won't drop her nickers on the first "hi" "FAF" message from a guy.

Why do guys think they have the right to demand we prove we are female. Especially when it was them who messaged us.

Had guys demanding phone calls, pictures. Kik to prove to them after a simple "no thankyou". Why should we??

We get our fair share of fake profiles asking for pics and numbers, we just report and delete.

We won't let it impact on our fab experience

We do stay away from webcam verified or met over a year ago as a couple but account still active, it’s an ongoing concern the fake spotting, usually a WhatsApp chat is the way forward especially if it’s a couple and make a group so all are involved

Always do a reverse image search that usually shows where they found the pics from the internet. Rumbled a few like that xx

You've got to have your wits about you and find a way to verify for yourself. Whether that's live pictures, trying to judge the nature of verifications, or meeting in a safe low stakes location first.

I assume everyone on here is fake.

All messages received are met with a swift accusatory reply targeting the legitimacy of the senders identity.

O o O oo

I suppose it depends on your own definition of fake. We were named and shamed on a profile header as fake, we had said no thanks to a message.

People mailing or trying to add you as friends I wouldn't say is a reason for people to be called fake, however if you think a verification is fake always report the profile please
