I have an annoying pain keeping me awake, not a trip to A&E type pain, but enough to keep me awake. Very annoying

Been through the agony part, was hospitalised several times and had surgery. The end result is trying to live with milder constant pain. Sometimes it’s fine, tonight not so! Thanks x

I went through this for many years before my hip replacement. Tore all the cartilage, ligament and shredding all the labral tissue in both hips. Had corrective surgery that helped for a year or so before the pain intensified again.

Was on Tramadol and eventually took myself off it when I realised my body was hooked on them. Scary and very painful times.

Enough pain I could walk no more than 100m at a time and couldn't sleep

That’s sounds horrific! Tramadol is my friend at the moment, due a review in a months time

Just be careful man, I was on it for 2 years I think taking sometimes more than 8 a day. It wasn't until they messed up my repeat prescription and I went all weekend without them, went to work Monday and I was feeling asleep standing up, hallucinating, stumbling, shivering with hot flushes etc they drove me home and I started to ween myself off them as soon as I had the replacement done.

It’s ok, I’ve used them many times before in the past and always stopped when I needed to. Sound advice though thanks x

So, 3 weeks down the line and still being kept awake by pain long term pain management plan in place, but episodes of acute pain getting harder to endure. All good fun?!
