I always wonder two things:
1. What people actually mean when they say they are (or expect others to be) clean and hygienic and smelling good.
2. Why they feel the need to write it (because dirty smelly people don’t usually realize they are dirty smelly people).
Like, I dunno. I shower and wash my hair before leaving the house, is that clean and hygienic? Or are these people doing something beyond the basics? And I do wear perfume, but some people don’t like the perfume I wear so I guess they probably don’t think I smell good!
I always wonder if there’s some kind of clean and hygienic swingers product that I’ve never been inducted to. |

We've never met anyone with body odour but I could smell one guy's breath from across the pub table and another guy turned up to the coffee shop in his work clothes (quite obviously on an extended tea break from his manual job) he wasn't exactly box fresh |

When it comes to hygiene practices in swinging, it's important to prioritise cleanliness and personal care. We should always remember, communication is key in swinging. Discuss hygiene expectations and preferences with your partner(s) or other participants beforehand to ensure everyone is on the same page and comfortable stick with this and we can’t go wrong. |

I can't imagine having to discuss hygiene with a prospective meet. I do know that some people consider pubic hair unhygienic though |

Indeed! That’s why I specify on my profile that I am Schrödingers shaver - I may or may not have shaved/trimmed any part of my body hair before a meet, so they take the risk of me not meeting their specific preferences.
It’s bonkers that some people think not shaving is less hygienic. |

It used to be a hot topic on here at one time. I recall one charmer telling me that hair is for monkeys and a woman telling me that no woman should have any hair below her eyebrows ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

Never once have I discussed hygiene with someone I'm going to meet.
