There are home test kits for STIs including aids. So if yiu want to do this be prepared to insist on them. As for the pregnancy issue is up to the woman there is contraception from the pill to caps.
In my case its a non issue I can't have kids anyway.
What interests me is that there is a widespread condemnation of men who saybtheybwould but little said against women that like bareback it's a two way street.
As for the risks well you have As the same risk giving bareback oral sex. So I don't get the moral outrage. Would I the answer is yes under certain conditions and I think that's true for most whatever sex you are. |

Only with an exclusive, fully-tested, fully-trusted partner who is happy to retain this exclusivity. I soooo miss it but it's just not worth the risk of contracting an STI or, even worse, passing it on to friends and playmates. |

The percentages are minimal compared to penetration (though, not zero) I was told by the doctor in my local sex health clinic. I perform a lot of oral sex and get a full STI check every three months or as required. |

We love bareback and it would always be our preferred option but reality is safety takes priority for full penetration. And can be crap because Mr struggles with condoms!!
That’s we are happy with soft swap, works great for us although appreciate there’s still elements of risk (before everyone points it out!!!)

And while I admit there are som failures not as many as you think women are extremely devious if they want to something a d will use any method to achieve it as I have found to great cost. |

Even though it restricts me massively, I’m seeking bare. I’m not looking for loads of meets, and I’m testing too, even with months of non playing time. I’m a one arrangement at a time person, but the search currently is like a needle in a haystack. |

If people ard regularly tested and know their status and if they are taking PrEP then there is no more risk than otherwise.
Oral sex and very close contact can still spread infections just the same.
A condom will not protect you unless it is used all of the time for every contact.
Dental dams the same thing for women.
I can't believe the 'if I know the person comments either.
Do some research and get educated.
So far out of date it's embarrassing.

The problem with just getting tested is that you need to be waiting a long time between each partner. So if you have sex with someone bareback you should ideally be waiting just over a month before you get tested (without having sex with anyone, including that person), and then waiting your week for results, before having sex with a different person and repeating the procedure.
STIs have incubation periods, and in that way testing just isn’t foolproof.
PReP is also quite hard to get if you’re not a MSM or a sex worker. When I was dating a sex worker I wasn’t even considered an eligible candidate despite him sleeping with both other male and female sex workers three or four days a week.
So before suggesting people are ignorant for their comments, perhaps look at your own. |

This regular testing thing can be a red herring. It really depends how often is regular and how many people they have sex with in the meantime. I know a couple who test regularly but they are also meeting 2-3 times a week at clubs and parties and both having bareback sex with several people each time. Even if they test every month that is a lot of interactions between tests and I bet many of the people they are having bareback sex with aren't testing that regularly. |

As a rule no not when swinging and love bareback.
Rules however are made to be broken and have on 2 occasions with couples here on 3rd or 4th meet. Got tested after both times.
If someone is "experienced" / had many meets then it's a definate no. |

It us not ignorant at all to suggest being tested regularly and knowing your own sexual health status for your own protection.
Yes , STI's have an incubation period (usually approximately 14 days after contact)and you often do not know until symptoms show.
I'd hope that people are sensible enough to get treatment then and not leave it.
Other infections can be hidden and require testing to know so testing is important to know what is there unless you want complications later such as sterility etc.
PrEP is administered very differently now to how it was years ago and is much more freely available at sexual health clinics.
To be on a PrEP prescription programme you must be tested at minimum every three months so you will have peace of mind that any infections will be identified.
People need to take responsibility and control of their own bodies and health.

I think fairly regular clinic visits are a good thing whether there's any signs of a problem or not.
Obviously not as regular as others should if it's just the one partner that you trust.

I thought have thought that obvious and it was not the context of my comment! It was in relation to people saying happy to go bareback because they test regularly (and therefore can’t give anything to others) or the people they fuck test regularly (and hence can’t give them anything). Read my comment again in that context and you might spot the red herring.
