Clearly labels continue to matter. Even in 2024.
That’s obvious otherwise guys wouldn’t be so desperate to call themselves straight when all the evidence suggests so many are not.
In addition I have never come across a genuine straight guy who is indifferent about being called gay by mistake.
I understand perfectly why guys continue to cling to the straight label and have no objection if that’s what they prefer. Even when I don’t believe them.
In the meantime these labels if honestly used are helpful in identifying like minded individuals and establishing ground rules.
