Why hide friends and/or verifications
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hey, good morning and Merry Xmas!
So, why do people hide friends lists and verifications? I get some single blokes may do it for nefarious reasons but what other genuine reasons may there be?
Just out of curiosity, no judgement. |

I've never displayed my friends list simply because it's nobody's business who I'm chatting to.
I don't have play verifications but half of mine have left the site and others are people I no longer wish to be linked with because of their actions after we met.
I've also had men and women contact some of my verifications asking for personal details so the whole verification drama trail is real. |

"As a single bloke, would it look odd that I would have both hidden though or is that their issues rather than mine (if someone asks why)"
Your choices are your own. If people don't like them, they don't have to engage with you, or you with them |

"Quite simply because people like to maintain an element of discretion "
Aaaaaaaand.
You can’t imagine the drama when someone fucks someone , that someone else wanted to fuck. |

Sometimes I get proper into watching the drama of someone meeting someone who met someone that once almost met the person off on a rant in the local updates.
The levels of abuse and harassment shown publicly for the sake of verifications from popular people, it doesn't bear thinking about how bad it can get in the DMs. |

People think it's ok to contact your friends or people who've verified you to either ask questions about you or to tell them that since they've met you you probably should meet them too.
It's just easier to not make them available. |

I never realised the drama on here until the other day. Boggles the mind. |

"How would a public pic showing verifications but blocking out usernames? Would that work or would people still think it's dodgy?"
What would be the point of that?
I have seen pics on here that have done that in the past but they were removed. |

Someone stole pics and made a fake account of us and messaged our verifications to verify a new account. Luckily enough they knew what was going on and messaged us to give us the heads up. |

I have had my previous public verifications used against me. Its bordering on psycho stalker shit to be honest for me when the newest/present meet takes it upon themselves to go searching looking for and convincing themselves about shit that's fuck all to do with them. Contacting or keeping tabs on my previous verifications to check if I have met them lately etc. Telling me about my past verifications latest status and profile updates because they are obsessively watching my past meets and my profile for whatever bollox they have convicted themselves of.
Both mundane and a little bit concerning on my part whilst uncalled for and not needed on my previous meets part.
