if i delete or choose to ignore or even not reply to a message without answering it,i get told i am rude and ignorant.i am told manners cost nothing.so,i have started to reply to everyone lately,just to see how it works.but other people are doing exactly the same to me
so just what am i supposed to do then.cant win can i?.  |

I know what you mean. I try to reply to everyone to avoid being rude, even if it is just a polite 'No thanks', but then get abuse for not being interested in people! Don't think there is a way for us to win on this one...... |

You do what's best for you, I think due to the volume of mail you lovely ladies get its better to just delete and block those that hold no interest did you and reply to the ones you'd like to get to know. Simples  |

I reply to my messages, usually to say 'I dont think you have read my profile have you? ' to the men !
Up to now I have never come across anyone rude or nasty.
Shame a small minority ruin it for so many nice guys on the site.x

Most men have no idea how many messages a woman gets. I have access to a friends profile and she gets 30-40 on quiet day.
Just ignore them, if they grumble block them.

Message comes to your inbox...
Step 1 - Read it
Step 2 - If interested look at thier profile
Step 3 - Still interested then reply else delete
If deleted message person messages again asking why you haven't replied...
Step 1 - Read it
Step 2a - If they are rude block them
Step 2b - If they are polite then say not interested and block them.
Now go young maiden & enjoy the site & have great victories against the persistant message numpty brigade |

The thing you do is use the site as you wish. So what if people call you rude and ignorant. If I don't want to answer a mail I won't, and I wouldn't give a damn what they call me  |

Swellmel, here's the official answer from Admin, to the accusation that it's "rude" not to reply to mails:
"It's not rude not to reply.
Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?"
This is part of the Frequently Asked Questions on this site, and I admit, I rely on this all the time.

If that's how they are in their messages it's probably how they are as a person. So it's good you find out early on. They're probably also the type who wouldn't turn up anyway. Don't stress over them, they're simply not worth it x |
