Do people become a victim of their own hype?
Jump to: Newest in thread
I've lost count of the amount of guys I've said no thanks to for them to come back at me with 'but look at my veris I'm fabulous and I'm the best you'll ever have' and such like.
Now I know we all like a good veri but I look at my own and know full well that I'm not gorgeous nor will I give the best BJ in the world and I just take them as the guys had a good time with me and wanted to write something nice but I certainly don't take them as gospel!!
Just wondered what others thought!! |

We can't understand why anyone would have the front to big themselves up in such a way.
That's just asking to be shot down in flames and there's always someone who'd delight in doing it!

"I think some have/can get a slightly more inflated ego because of what they perceive to be popularity online."
I couldn't agree more.
Of course in my case I AM actually an awesome demi-god of swing and all round time-travelling action hero, but there are a lot on here who really do have monstrous egos and live in some kind of weird fantasy land
Funny old world! |

just because the people they have met had a good time and thought they were good, doesnt mean to say i will though, same as not everyone i have met thought i was that good.

I do think some take it too seriously and others actually live by other personnas.
I had a bloke tell me how great he was only yesterday and when I asked him what made him think he was so great at sex he said cos people from here have said he was ....... |

I find it quite off putting when men mail me saying things like, check my veri's, like i'm supposed to jump at meeting them because their last meet thought they was great |

I'm not sure that you really appreciate - even WITH filters set - how many messages single girls get per day! For me, I don't think I'm better than anyone else, or full of myself - if I don't reply its coz the guy isn't for me, for one reason or another, and I simply don't have time to reply to all - I prefer to concentrate on the ones that DO spark my interest! |

We find it quite difficult writing veris as we like to be polite but not graphic. For us veris are a good way of seeing when someone last played. If there veri is a long time ago then perhaps they are no longer playing. This is not an exact science but we find it a good barometer.
