For the record I'm a punk/old school riot grrl so I have no opinion.

I did very much enjoy taking The Brat to see The Sisters of Mercy a few weeks ago... and the ribbing from my old high school classmates was hilarious.

Goth I guess. Emos are too nihilistic for me personally (no, at all obvs before the generalisation gets picked apart lol)

Emo, schmemo. I preferred when we just called it all ‘alternative’ and went drinking and dancing together.

Carlisle usually

Is it a vs situation?

I usually call my style goth out of simple ease for the recognition of the term, but my wardrobe can easily slide into the majority of alternative.

Music wise I'm chaotic as fuck anyway. Right this moment all I want to listen to is 5ive and the spice girls. Oh and a but of Bwitched wouldn't go amiss.

Also, we did have tickets to see sisters of mercy last month but life sadly got in the way. Thoroughly enjoyed Skynd and a Rob Zombie tribute in terms of gigs last week though, so it's not all bad

The Side of the Mersey

I was neither. Just loved rock/metal music. Didn’t need to dress up to show off about it. Just jeans and a band T-shirt.

However. I fucking love goth girls. Used to spend Friday and Saturday nights in the Krazy House in Liverpool.

Goth, once again by a country mile. Emo slouched up somewhat after my time, and I just find it whiny and annoying.

Oooooo I loved White Zombie back in the day.

I just purchased tickets to see Jane's Addiction. I am so excited.

Then the Pixies announced. €131 PER ticket (more than twice we paid for our 2 tickets to JA).

And it's not even the original line up with Kim Deal.

So... feh.

Find both incredibly sexy if I'm honest.
