I'd prefer that to most of the DMs I get tbh
I do check my winks but only go to the profile if the status, pic and location are of interest. Then there needs to be some compatible substance to the bio and a nice couple of pics and I'll wink back or say hi.

"I think wink is great but lots of ppl hates it and don't respond to me winks is similar to likes on facebook.."
Na I would say a fab is similar to a like on FB.. wink is just to get someone's attention |

"Even more bizarre when you receive them from profiles which are your type and wink back or message and no follow up happens
Pretty pointless "
Or you message them and nothing back. Maybe the wink was an accident?? |

Because some people on here see it as lazy, they expect you to write an essay and have great pleasure in then ignoring you and if you’re really lucky, blocking you.
I think it’s a great way to show you’re interested. Then the message exchange can begin. Simple! |

No that’s unlikely as it’s quite common
Just can’t see the point, messaging is more direct if interested you will get a message back |

I am a big fan of the wink system. I know it’s not for everyone but for me it’s simply an initial interaction and a sign that I am interested in someone. No wink back then it saves me having to fill their inbox with yet an other message which more than likely will get lost with all the other hundreds of messages women/couples gets. Of course I will put an appropriate amount of effort in my message so a wink is def not a sign of laziness |

Why the heck wink at me in the first place?

I very rarely check them and only send one if it is requested in the profile. I prefer to send a message, I know you don't always get a reply but suspect there is a bigger chance than by a wink alone. Happy fabbing everyone |

My thinking on the wink system is that whoever sends the wink is then responsible for sending the first message if they get winked back.
I've had numerous winks from women and couples where I have responded with a wink and never heard from them again.
That tells me they expected me to message rather than wink which will never happen.

To be honest, whenever we've had a wink from couples and we think we would be interested in taking things further, it seems to go the ether or their profile goes hidden. Not sure what's it all about. |

Just think a wink is a bit of a cop out and does anyone actually check them out? Message bit more personal, but the problem is not always read and just discarded |
