Question for some of the older lifters on here, has your attitude to training changed as you've aged?

When I was younger it was always about wanting to become stronger and more muscular, but since turning 40 I don't feel quite so much that way any more, and now it's about wanting to maintain energy and vitality for me.

We can't stop ourselves from getting older, but we can at least try to slow it down.

I guess so, though as I'm still playing first team rugby at 46 I work hard to maintain strength and power for as long as possible.

can still train hard and/or long - however these days need far more rest in order to maintain levels (and especially if i want to progress at something)
