Other people may have different views but my experience suggests that the term kinkster has became opaque, and is used by hedonists, lifestylers, those with alternative niche non sexual interests, those with alternative niche sexual interests, and those interested in traditional BDSM (for this conversation excluding those into rough sex).
There also seems to be a difference between approaching a Domme and approaching a Dom.
Although both will require the negotiation and discussion before the play/relationship the initial approach is different.
A Domme will expect you to find out about her and what she expects in terms of service. It is more than offering service, it is offering the service she wants and accepting the rewards as she gives them. I ought to exclude Pro Dommes and Fin Dommes ar this point.
For Doms it is more of setting out what precisely what you are looking for and what you have to offer because the word "submissive" like "kinkster" also is very vague.
It should also be said that you should do your homework on any Dom/Domme that interests you, as all that glitters is not gold.
