Bisexual skew between men and women on fab.
Jump to: Newest in thread
Saw this really interesting comment on a couple's profile and it does give me food for thought.
"Does anyone find it odd that on fabs 95% of women are bi/curious and only 5% of men are similarly open? That ratio exists nowhere else in society..."
Apologies for not crediting the couple from who's profile I copied this from. |

I think its 50/50 judging by the amount of straight guys who message me, just they dont put it on profile because there are a few narrow minded homophobes who put "no bi males" on their profiles, tbf they are in a minority (the homophobes) and i dont think the guys would be missing out, and would you want to meet someone who is like that anyway. |

"I often get messages from men and their profiles say there strait. "
The post wasn't about how many men seek out other males whilst having a female partner who doesn't know about their secretive life, more about why there aren't more openly bi males, well being openly bi male is a curse. |

On our profile I list myself as straight and Cammy as Bi curious. I have had bi experiences when younger. If the circumstances of a future meet were right then I would probably go with the flow.
We all have our fantasies, sometimes these are far away from the reality our inhibitions allow. |

Why is it homophobic to not want to play with bi males?

I know that I will never come out as bicurious in the vanilla world but on here as soome as I realised I enjoy bi fun too I decided to be open about it.
It's hard enough being a single male on here so by my logic why add barriors between oneself and the people one is most likely to feel at ease with and thus have the most fun with.

As you have so kindly pointed out, many bisexual men lie and say they are straight - hence why many people avoid them.
Calling people homophobic just puts them off bi men even more. ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

People lie to get sex.
Women lie about being bisexual to attract men and gets meets. Or their husband wants to see 2 women so wifey lays there like a block of wood as a true bi woman licks her.
Bisexual men lie about being straight to attract women and get meets. Or they're not Out in real life so need to be discreet. ![](/icons/rainbow.png) |

And actually so what if they’re ‘homophobic’? They know who they want and who they don’t want - same as you do I’d assume?

It's funny tho. Because they say "won't meet bi men", but most likely have played with bi men. They just don't know it, because most guys lie about being bi. |

When people say they don't meet bi guys I don't waste a moment trying to figure out or understand why.
I don't care if they are homophobic, live with the delusion that every "straight" guy they meet is in fact straight, have preconceptions of bi guys not being masculine enough, being safe or anything else be it good bad or benign.
I don't play just for the sake of playing so if there's not going to be a good vibe with a woman/couple anyway has anything really been lost by not meeting? |

I feel like it's less of a step for women to be bi than men. Women grow up with more physical contact from other girls / women in their lives than men do. Our female friend circle are forever hugging each other or commenting on or touching each others bodies. Also kissing each other on nights out 'for fun'. Taking the next step to being bi with each other is a really easy one. And even where that's not reciprocated, there's very little in the way of adverse reaction to it.
Men grow up hearing 'ughhh gay!' in response to most physical contact. It's mostly childish but that kind of long term social conditioning has an impact. If a guy takes a gamble on coming onto a mate then there's a massive risk of either violence or being brutally outed.
I'd probably go so far to say that more men harbour bi tendencies than women. Just look at how many posts there are here around 'I'm not gay but I'd love to suck a cock'. It's just been conditioned into us that it's wrong or something to be deeply ashamed of.
There are so many straight guys on our 'who's near' who also have profiles on the other Guys site ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Why is it homophobic to say no bi males? I’m guessing your taking about couples saying this? |

perfectly fine for a single man not to want to meet another man, but where no play is intended between men , its an irrational fear.
