We had a conversation years ago that if one of us was unable to have sex for medical reasons we would both be ok for the other within specific parameters to see others if that was what was needed etc..
There's no shame, respect for some shame is part of their kink and how they play..
Open and honest communication is paramount with this aspect of our lives, there's umpteen examples of others regardless of gender etc who don't/ can't be so open ..

In my experience pretty much all the couples I meet already have a good sex life - I struggle to remember when I last heard a husband couldn’t satisfy her.
