Another art house classic from the 70s is Maitresse. It features a young Gerard Depardieu and has a couple of quite heavy scenes but is ultimately a story about destructive love.

A modern film based on clear power dynamic themes is Secretary featuring Maggie Gyllenhaal.

In the ‘Realm of the senses’ (1976) is interesting and really pushes boundaries for it’s time.
And of course ‘Eyes wide shut’ not really BDSM but very structured kink. Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise and directed by stanley Kubrick.
