Are there any on this site ? By hippy i mean people who believe in peace, love and compassion.
Im asking as reading these forums it seems these a large number of peeps eagerly put there names forward to enslave,torture, hang, behead, immigrants, asylum seekers, the unemployed,prisoners,chavs and any group or nation that resists western interference etc. |

It would mean not killing anything and that includes the flies in your house in summer and that ants nest on your back door step where the ants keep coming into your kitchen
Being a buddist does not mean stopping to let the old lady cross the road or loving your dog it goes way deeper than that |

Can't stand hippies or self righteous do gooders who think there is something good in every evil out there !
Get real , human rights seem only to be good for the scum that choose to live a life without considering law abiding peaceful folk - so what about our rights ?

There are some real oddballs on Fab, no doubt.
If you ever read anything on here concerning a 'sensitive' political issue, it's like someone has used the 'spEak You're bRanes' generator from ifyoulikeitsomuchwhydontyougolivethere.com .
A bit curious really, as you would assume that people enjoying what would be considered a liberal lifestyle might be a bit smarter than the average Daily Mail reader...but it seems the opposite is more likely to be true.
Of course, there are loads of lovely fabbers on here too who show the other side of the compassionate coin. Guess it takes all sorts, as they say  |

Also monks are very wealthy in china and thailand, a lot of them driving bmw's and walking around talking on iphones. I can't remember the word for a trainee monk but they are even allowed girlfriends until the become monks. Buudhism is pretty much the only religion in my opinion that is genuinely open and hasn't been manipulated to cause some sort of conflict between different socio-ethnic groups.
However I am not a buddhist, I just try to be a good person ! |

Well i have met some proper hippys who are more facist than some facists i have met. I didnt really mean hippy in that sense but a broader more easy going less hate filled and fearful sense. |

Not a hippy, but a lifelong socialist weary but unsurprised by the reactionary ill-thought out crap out there - to me it's such a simple-minded dull inability to see things from other people's perspective - but I've seen worse on plenty of vanilla sites.
It would be nice to think that swingers in particular would have a live and let live philosophy but hey ho. |

Or for that matter , as previously suggested by another poster what newspapers to read ?
Strange as this may seem - we are here to meet other people and have sexual encounters with them !!!
A belief on whether child killers , pedophiles , rapists etc,,, should be treated with compassion is totally irrelevant , although it would be hard to sympathise with a person who thinks they should !!!

I'm with you, I would general assume people living what is viewed as an 'alternative' lifestyle to be a bit more left leaning and liberal. But no, instead I've just seen a lot of hate and anger on these forums! |

Thats Jainism, not Buddhism. Buddhist more believe tolerance for all others and no waste. If that means eating a sausage butty because someone gave it to them they will.
I am a hippy. Radical liberal, leftist leaning, live and let live, although I do shave my armpits and wash my hair. I dabble in aromatherapy and natural healing, go for long walks in the countryside, and have lots of cats. All I need to do now is start wearing tie-dye and I'm a lost cause. |
