We’re new to all of this and are thinking of visiting a club to see how it goes. What do you wear and do they sell alcohol or take your own. We’re just outside Sheffield so willing to travel

We've been to a couple of clubs. I don't think many sell booze, you just bring your own. As for dress code, it's usually smart/casual. If you have a club in mind then check their website. you'll get most if not all the details there.

Good luck.

Not all the clubs are the same set up and its definitely worthwhile checking out each individual one you're considering. The club reviews section is a great place to check out and I'm sure people posting wouldn't mind you asking for any info about the place.

We hope you have a great experience wherever you end up Our first experience was a club night and we loved it.

Generally wear a nice vanilla "going out" outfit, you can get away with something a little more risqué though obviously There's usually a point in the night where people will sneak away to get changed into their lingerie etc but it's not mandatory (in most clubs).

Drinks-wise, usually it's BYOB and they keep it behind the bar for you but some clubs have a license so worth checking before you go.

Parking arrangements are also worth knowing beforehand because some are limited, or non-existent

Depends on the club, you are best off checking the reviews and websites of the clubs you are interested in to see, some are nightclub style clubs others are dress down straight away so can turn up in jeans and trainers as they’ll be off as soon as you go through the door.

Again with drinks, some are bring your own but buy soft drinks and and mixers and others sell everything.

Decide what you feel comfortable with regarding dress code and look at those style clubs, then look at the events that are on and choose one that interests you and then go explore, if that club or event is not for you then try another one.

I drive so the bar isn’t an issue for me unless it’s far away and I stay over and I prefer dress down clubs so chams in darleston or Cupids Manchester for me over clubs that are dressed such as xtasia.

We've been on the scene since January of last year. Found Chams and to date it's the only club we've done. It has everything we need. We highly recommend.

It does have a dress down code which some may find daunting, but to us within minutes of getting undressed that first time it just felt so natural and relaxed (and this coming from a guy who would never let anyone see him bare chested at one point).

So yeah, come to Chams. If you come on the 23rd we'll be happy to show you around x

That's Chams, Darlaston. There are 2. Apparently Darlaston is bigger.. But can't confirm as said, Darlaston is all we know.

Guys we see you are new and haven’t experienced anything as of yet. A lot of the people posting are coming from an experienced background and different desires. Your profile states no single men. Firstly we suggest you seek a club that holds couples and single ladies nights to maintain your comfort level at first, this choice might change over time but don’t put yourselves under undue pressure first time. Read the reviews to see if they fit your aspirations. You don’t have to play with anyone if you don’t want to and can both easily enjoy the facilities and rooms together without others involved. Additionally you both may want to involve others but ensure it’s what you both want. First time stick to your boundaries and respect each other, remember why you are both there and don’t let other more experienced people influence your judgment (especially single people) on the night until you are both more comfortable and experienced in your desires.
