Switch and Swap scenario

We have been chatting recently about the idea/scenario of going to a club or party with a swingers couple that we are already friends with, and played together before a few times. However, to spice it up a bit, once we are at the club/party we switch couples and go around pretending we are partners. That is, Lars (Mr) pairs up with the female from the other couple and Lena (Ms) goes around with the male. We would then engage other couples at the club/party without letting them know that we are not a real couple.

We find the scenario spicy hot, however we are concerned about a couple of grey areas:

- Is it unfair to other couples who would chat, or even play with us assuming we are real couples? Would telling the other couple

- Does it infringe club rules by going as a couple but then, in effect, separating for play purposes?

Has anyone done this before or anything similar? Does this scenario have a name? Does anyone find it hot? Disgusting? Unethical? Boring?

We love this idea too

I'm sure someone will come along and say it's unethical but I don't see the issue!

For sure lying to people is not ethical, but we are swingers, and we lie to friends and family about where we go when we go out to clubs and parties. So we would be interested to know how others see this scenario.

We’ve had weekend away with another swing couple and spent most of it as swapped partners. Didn’t play with others but found it an amazing experience.

Thanks. Never thought of that scenario. How was it? Were you separate even for meals and going out or just for playtime?

Separate all weekend. Went out walking around the seaside town but with the others partner. Was lots of fun, and added some spice being in public but with someone else.

Wow. That's extra spicy, and risky, someone that knows you two could have seen either of you.

It was at a neutral location where neither had any connections so lowered that risk.

Did this a few weeks ago at a club, swapped at reception and stayed like this all evening. Didn't involve any others though but it was a definite buzz.

Many years ago I went to a swingers club with a couple I saw a lot. The arrangement was that she and I went as a couple and stayed in couple mode for the visit, and he went as a single male. We didn’t even play as a three in the club, he loved just doing his own thing while she and I had a lovely time chatting to and playing with other couples.

I wouldn't be happy to be lied to, even by omission. Saying all swingers lie isn't a valid reason.

We did this for few hours in one of our socials , swapped partners and walked into a shopping mall and had some frisky time in changing rooms.

Very hot experience

Get your point. I would love to do this with with Mrs, we've discussed something very similar in the past. You could do it and then if you did meet anyone else just say, "our other half's are swinging together somewhere else in the club".

If you just keep to yourselves no one else is involved and no harm done.

That way you've fulfilled the idea and not hurt anybody along the way.

Such a good idea...you guys in the UK are so good. Meanwhile here in Fiji we haven't even had our first couple swap.

Not telling people is disingenuous and people do expect people presenting as couples to be couples in that sense.

I don’t see anything wrong. You’re not strangers to each other and have a relationship as sorts.

We’ve spoken to plenty of “couples” at clubs who were just there as a couple to get access on that night.

Personally I don’t see anything wrong with it ..

but it wouldn’t be for me as it’s not nearly as much fun when we aren’t playing together

"I wouldn't be happy to be lied to, even by omission. Saying all swingers lie isn't a valid reason. "

Never said that all swingers lie, we replied "But we are swingers, and we lie to friends and family...". Many swingers do lie, many lie by omission and many do not lie at all ever and are fully open to family, friends, workplace etc about being swingers. We (Arpeggio) are swingers, AND we do lie regarding swinging. No implication that all swingers do lie and apologies if it reads like that.

Nevertheless, our post is not about lying but about the negative effects of lying on other people/couples. You say you would not like to be lied, and others have said similar in this post. It's clear that many people want to know if they are engaging a couple that are in a regular partnership or just FWB. Ethically, we would not feel comfortable with knowingly misleading those couples, so very glad we posted about it to gather different views.

Many others have shared versions of this scenario that do not involve lying, some look like fun to consider and try. Thanks to all for sharing your comments so far.
