Wink away, unless it states on the profile that they dont like or acknowledge them. This is where reading profiles comes into play and sadly a lot of people dont which causes hostile email replies and blocked members. |

We like winks. It brings forward people that we might not otherwise have seen as we don't go in for searches really. Then the winker can be looked over and if its someone we like, we'll wink right back. If not, we'll hit delete and no harm done. Think that if you approach it not expecting a response to a wink, then you're not going to be disappointed if you don't get one x |

Never looked at my winks or friend requests.
My view = if you want to talk to me, make an effort. I don't wink or invite at people, I expect the same in return. |

I get several winks each week. If the winker's profile says little I delete the wink. If the profile is of interest I will send a message saying 'thank you for the wink'. Occasionally someone will send a reply back.
Therefore, winks achieve little in my experience. As has been mentioned before a well written message is much more interesting and acceptable.

Mr sends winks often; I never send any.
When we receive winks I'll very occasionally view their profile but thats as far as it goes for me.
Its like everything else - what one person likes another finds pointless.

"winks from cpls are looked at while winks from single guys are deleted straight away.
Sorry guys but as there are so many you need to make an effort to be different."
Upside-down look-no-hands winking perhaps?

We like winks, either a cheeky "hey look at me" or a flirty hey I'm checking you out, we often respond and it does bring people to our attention that wouldn't normally see |
