Ringworm, Neurosis, Isis. I like those bands a lot. But the whole metal term is a bit annoying to me. A bit of distortion on the guitar doesn't make a song heavy or "metal" when they have these big sing along choruses. Slipknot I'm looking at you. A lot of those bands I don't really consider metal.
Meshuggah. Now that's a metal band.
So yeah I probably like a fair few bands that are considered heavy but I don't really see them as heavy..
Deftones, SOAD, RATM, Down being among my favourites.
I dunno. I probably just over think stuff to be honest haha |
