Can you explain further what you mean in your question?
Kink isn't about sex. Sex can be involved but there are so many kinks that have nothing to do with sex at all.
Anyone who uses a D/s dynamic or other kink to persuade someone not to use protection is not a safe person. |

I read an article a while ago that proposed that the increase in kink correlated with the increase in risk associated with sex, and people were substituting the dungeon for the swingers club.
It was an American article and I could see naive people believing you could avoid infection by doing so. Missing that bodily fluids can be transferred by sensation toys.
So possibly it applied to fashionistas.
But if you put aside both that the definition of kink is something used in addition to having sex, and also there are people that use kink to get sex, the reason people are kinky is more subtle and less straightforward. |

The idea wasn't mine,it was a 'feminist' writer Mary Harrington..it's something along the lines that no contraception sex is so risky/life changing that people have come up with alternatives to get same thrill. |

That's a funny analogy! Maybe there's something in it, maybe there'a a timeline for it historically. Never looked into it...but kink can be done with no protection too. |
