Evening sorry if I’m wrong group.
Just wandered if anyone would be interested in a fab golf society? Meet up once or twice a year for a weekend of golf somewhere different each time!

If it ever gets done, I would be up for this too. A summer thing, I am such a fair weather player. Gave up years ago fighting those frosty tee offs and mud covers shoes. |

Most places don’t ever check, plenty of easier courses around that still do stay and play too. |

Where abouts is everyone thinking? Plenty of reasonable cheap courses around the country with hotels attached

I’d imagine Birmingham is central enough, plenty of courses in driving distance. I played Walsall a few years back, good course, not sure of price these days but would be happy to play again |

Loads around the NEC and lots of hotels too
Courses include West Midlands, Stonebridge, North Warwickshire, Forest of Arden (two courses), maxstoke, olton, windmill village, widney manor, used to be a municipal near the airport as well
All within 15 mins drive of NEC. |

Stonebridge is 27 Holes. Also there's the place where they hold the British par 3 championship. Can't remember the name though |

Yes, I could make a midlands day. Loads of courses around the Midlands, plenty with hotels too. I guess with price in mind, place with chain hotels near by would be a good shout. Gives the option for all then.
The biggest obstacle is picking a date and preying for the weather gods to smile in this country. |

It’s in good nick pretty open and greens are not overly fast if you want a test the PGA is a better bet. |

Thinking about the logistics of this a lot of hotels will accept bookings with cancellation rights up to maybe 24hr before. If a hotel was designated we could all make our own bookings, set a deadline then book a course for those that are interested?
