Are the school holidays a parents hell with 6 weeks of no fun for you or your a teacher and are enjoying 6 weeks of freedom and as much fun as you can get.
I’m definitely in the first category. I’m a single dad with son 24/7 so definitely no fun.
Let me your experience and if you’ll be looking forward to and craving fun after they finish. |

Yeah as a parent and business owner our time is limited but the school holidays just make things that much more difficult but family comes first and is the most important thing. |

Our kids go back to school next week (Scottish school term) it's been pretty rough, the weather has made it a pretty crap. I'll be pleased when they return

Such a difficult thing to balance, effective time off for educators, whilst providing free time for kids but with two full time working parents and both of an age where kids clubs and the likes of are just too young for them to attend it's not easy to keep them entertained. Constantly using up A/L and never together becomes frustrating when you can't spend time together as a family as well. Charlie is lucky that his annual leave offering is extremely healthy but not so lucky for Debs. |

That sounds so hard
I’m lucky that I have a very independent child and other family friends that will help too.
Defo looking forward to time away with him though. |

I feel very sorry for parents and children this summer it's been so wet.
I used to love the school holidays but one of us had holiday that coincided with the kids and my mum lived close by.
It was so nice to just relax with them. |
