Sex and menopause

A question for the ladies of a certain age I need help.

Only recently started having sex after a 6 year break.

I am fully menopausal and on HRT.

Vaginal changes I mean sensitivity and literal burning sensation afterwards. Is there anything to help relieve this problem. I will be eternally grateful.

There are lots of things to help, especially as you are on HRT, but you will def need to speak to your GP about it rather than the forums.

If you are looking for a natural remedy, google yoni steaming...

Yeah, pretty much! Can be fun too, but make sure you don't burn it with the steam! lol it's a balancing act.

So maybe get to your GP lol

I have a friend that's using the oestrogen cream as her fanny has been getting dry. She swears by it... But not sure how that would work if you are on HRT.

I do the yoni steaming before I wax down there as it opens the pores and waxing is painless. But I know people use it during the menopause with different herbs, but don't know what type - I'm sure a google search would help!

Oestrogen cream will help but it might not cure. Have a look at Yes vaginal moisturiser and ask your doctor or pharmacist for an appropriate moisturiser for your vulva and perineum.

We used to use Skyns. You might not be sensitive to latex, it's possible you need to use lube with them. You might find that over the counter lube irritates you too and you need to invest in the Yes lube too. It's expensive but worth it.
