Well folks my thread certainly created a stir amongst fellow members...and can say we appreciated what was being said and all your commnets...you may be right when some of you felt that we were being a bit narrow minded..but was very happy with the support that came through from members who agreed that large age gaps between some couples is offputting..but thanks again for your honest comments...

Why do you need to have support from fellow members ? Surely if you have a opinion you should have the conviction to stand by it weather people agree or not, it's not about point scoring !! The good news is you have probably completely alienated yourselves from most open minded not judgemental folk on here and for that I congratulate you.

Where were the members agreeing with you? I think I missed them... As I read it there were 141 replies pretty much universally treating your narrowminded _iews with the contempt they rightly deserved

May I ask why you started another thread and didn't just comment on your other one ? Is it another attempt at trolling or are you just trying for a few more people on your " looked at me" page ?

The OP like everyone is entitled to their opinions, its a free country (still - just about).

Like i said on the other thread, nothing suits everyone, and if age gaps are offputting avoid age gap couples.

That is very different to saying they shouldnt be on fab.

Happy swinging with the people that suit you and you suit them !

I dont think many would have minded ur OP if it had said,something more like we find it weird

but unfortunately it came more across as a dictating post that really isnt reflective of a modern outlook...especially when it comes to swinging

my only answer was to really ask U's what would ur vanilla friends etc think of u's being on a swinging site... therefore dont be so quick to judge others in my opinion...

Had you simply said it was "offputting" I think you may well have had a more mixed response, rather than everyone disagreeing with your _iews.

In fact you said thay couples with large age gaps should not be allowed on the site...

Just referring to your previous thread about not wanting to go to a party with couples where there was a age gap, if I went to a party and mid stroke looked over my shoulder only to see me nan and gramps in a mmf to coin a phrase I would find it horrendous !!!! But would just let them get on with it and not say anything as after all I don't have to play with them and they are having fun and not hurting anyone so why would I want to offend them or hurt their feelings ?

Having just read the OP's original post have to say frankly im appalled at your judgement and closed mindedness especially considering your status clearly states OPEN minded !!!

For starters this site is for everyone of any creed ,age , sexuality and preference that have an interest in swinging or the lifestyle.

What makes this site brilliant is the abundance of acceptance for personal preference and lifestyle choice. No offence but couples like you and posts like yours not only scare people of but also create ignorance, personally i would of thought people of your age would have more acceptance and patience !!

If it is not to your taste then perhaps you should try other sites ??

Frankly a shocking post, the only saviour being that the majority if not all members agreed that your post was unacceptable and narrow minded.

Profile does indeed say open minded but like I said on the other thread it says little else. If I were them id ditch the profile and start again but im not them and we are open minded and get lots of meets!

i think it is was interesting that if you had all this "support" that not one of them had the balls to actually post in the thread...

some people could say that a 7 yr gap is hypocritical.. and again as other pointed out, you have friends visable on your friends list that have large age gaps... so can you see where it came from...

do i think it was extremely narrow minded... absolutely.... I know people who are "30 going on 60".... and I know men who are "40 going on 14" (men never grow up...)

here is one thing I have learnt.... you can't help who you fall for, and if that relationship that is formed and is a loving one, and takes them in the direction of swinging, good for them!!!

This and the previous op became SO monotonous, I decided to take me shoes n socks off and do the sums! The op collectively has 104 years age gap between all the 'friends' shown a the bottom of their profile.

My head hurts now! I think I may have to lie down for a moment with my legs in the air

not sure why this couple seem to be getting such a hard time, they posted for the very first time a thread about age differences... now it most certainly could have been better positioned, they could have returned to the thread but may have been shocked at the level/tone of replies ( many other OP's have never returned to their threads ).

they came back and thanked people for their honest replies in the forum and also people who may have replied privately.

age difference has been discussed many times and there are usually a diverse range of replies. I personally have posted my own hypocrisy with this as I don't have the same opinion of an older lady and younger guy than I do with an older guy and younger girl. I don't know why I _iew them differently, but I do.

Agreed there the wording it the original post could have been better but they were just expressing their opinion (I commented on the original post). I do believe however that making a new post is only going to open them up to more criticism of the original post.

Personally speaking, the reason I took offence was not the subject but the simple reason that they said people with age gaps "should not be permitted on the site". I don't think anyone has the right to say that.

Totally agree with this. Fair enough if you don't like big age gaps but no one shouldn't be told they aren't allowed on the site if they are being decent and just looking for fun x

I like men a lot older than me, and I'm not alone in it. I've never had any negative comments at munches, play parties, clubs, dogging, even in the pub.

And as for young old couples not being allowed on the site... No one but the people who run this site have the right to make those judgement calls.

I was thinking that all along - from the OP's lack of replies throughout the threads.

I've met a lot of swingers with a lot of wide ranging _iews before but mostly swinging to me is about acceptance and being open minded. Otherwise where would we all be?

I didnt reply on the first thread - I thought it was an effort to troll tbh.

If I am wrong, I apologise, but those were my thoughts based on what I read.
