Check out something like theduchy.com for tutorials and give it a go, or find a local group with beginner classes .
Obviously take the safety aspects of it seriously and don’t try anything overly ambitious without proper teaching, but you can do quite a lot with a few simple ties. Antomiestudio.com does the best jute rope but you can get good and cheaper cotton stuff online.
