Winking etiquette, so for me I wink, they wink back, I message.
They wink, we wink back I'd expect a message.
Why do people wink then not message when you return said wink? Are they expecting a message?
What's your winking etiquette?

"Or the even worse...they wink first, we wink back, radio silence for several hours until....
"Thanks for the wink"...
Cheers for that, raring to go now "
Yeah this is another one, I rarely wink back but thought I would, they've looked at us daily since but never messaged I found it a little odd.

Happens sooo much we tend to assume it's Mr who has taken a shine to the lady of the profile and the Mrs (if she exists and is aware of course) has no interest in the fella....
Obviously just one possibility |

I find this is similar to what I do. Unfortunately, it seems to go along the lines of I wink them, they wink back, I message them thanking them for winking back and try to start a conversation, then they go radio silent and/or block me. Obviously, that's not always the case for me, but it can be a bit frustrating when I get my hopes up after receiving a return wink, only to have them dashed |

We're in agreement with your thoughts on winks Knights.
If we wink and get one in return, we send a wee message. We would also hope for a message if it was the other way around.
The other frustrating situation is when you receive a wink from a hidden profile... not much able to be done with that

Unfortunately we use a 2 tier wink system because it has been abused.
A wink from a single guy, with no message, we just delete.
A wink from a couple, is an initial interest and if we wink back it means we are happy to start messaging.
Pretty sure we aren't the only ones though x |

We’re similar to most above.
If we wink and they wink back, we’ll message.
If they wink and we wink back, we’re waiting for them to respond.
Single guys can’t wink us.
Jgmex and knights. We’d wink you lots.

"Once you receive a wink, would you say “Thank you for the wink?” I feel many people cringe once they receive this
And what else are they ment to say? "

Ah sometimes there is an exception I've just realised - it's futile to expect a response when you play the 'Wink at who you'd like to fuck' forum game when they live miles away... |

Definitely agree with original statement made, if a wink is returned a message goes out and vice versa. Doesn't always happen but that's the etiquette I use! Use the wink system as a gauge of interest |
