I'm on Tinder and Bumble, I've not long moved to Glasgow, somewhere I don't actually know anyone.
So I have low expectations from all 3 with regards to making a FWB, but even if I make one or two normal friends to socialise with then I'm happy. |

Do you find you're having more success on the other dating sites then Fabs? |

"Come on who's willing to to tell they are a regular dating site .
I'll start. Yes I am .
"
So are you upfront about being on here with those you speak to on dating sites out of interest? |

Yes 100%. I've found in the past that there's a few of us on other dating sites as well as fabs, sometimes it's a bonus, other times it scares people off.. not sure why but hey each to their own. I believe in being up front and honest with people from the start . It's always stood me in good stead |

I use dating sites but specifically for dating. Seems a sad state of affairs atm that all people have to offer is penis. Least on here theres no delusions about it. I can engage or not as the mood takes. |

No not really but wasn't really expecting to, not a lot of women on there that are my type. Chatted to a few but that's it. To be honest I'm not mentally prepared for dating just yet so not trying that hard. |

When I was I found most of the same people on there were on here. When they sent their face pics on here they were usually surprised when I said it was the same one they sent on the dating site lol. Funny how on a dating site they want someone to watch the stars with, a gsoh, a soul mate etc etc but their profile on here says anal, group sex and watersports lol

Yes, that surprises me too.
You expect them to be on POF seeking casual dating, but no, they're always seeking a long term relationship! |

I used to use POF abit pre covid .. I found it much better to meet up with women for casual sex meets there than here ....

"Tinder and Facebook dating.
I have to say Facebook has been the best for NSA and it's usually girls texting first
Yeah? Looks like I might have to reactivate my The Facebook account."
Facebook dating now is as good as POF used to be.. if a girl messages you first you know it's game time |

I use Fab, and one other app for meeting likeminded people.
I'm on Fet, but never met anyone through it. There's some incredibly sexy women in Antarctica in there though.....
Never used any of the well known dating apps |

My experience. Far more sex and fum from tinder and pof than here. Often girls will have profiles on all three. I fucked girl on pof. Then was messaging her on here not realising it was the same person.
"You fucked me earlier" came the response lol |

Personally I still find chatting up a woman in the real world is by far the most effective way to meet.
That said, I have had a few great experiences from unlikely and (I assume) little known sites that aren't necessarily FWB/ONS territory...
1 LetsMeetUp
I don't know if the site changed over the last 6 months, or whether they give certain leeway to new accounts and then close off the freedoms over time to encourage pay. But it is a credit based system and it did become apparent that its the usual fake accounts encouraging you to buy credits/subscribe.
But without once paying a single thing, I had three really great IRL experiences through LetsMeetUp at a point where it wasn't all bots and everything was locked behind paywalls. It just required two people swiftly agreeing to move on to KiK almost instantly.
2. Can't remember the name but might be "Freedating". Seems to be mostly populated by women who want romantic walks, a dependable companion and a life of happiness in a cottage with a spaniel named Mr Fluffywuffle. However, it is free to you use with no restrictions and I found a few lusty carnage seekers there over the years. But you have to be careful you don't accidentally get married to a fairytale princess who has never even seen her own vagina, and refers to it awkwardly as "down there".

I've accounts on Tinder, Badoo and Feeld. 4 dates in 4.5 years shows how not successful I've been...
I do find dating has changed massively these days though, back in 2014 I could line up a couple of dates a week if I fancied... now, well different story. It seems 'Long Term' according to men these days is a hook up. At least here on Fab, we know that's what we're here for and there's no deception. |

"I’m on POF intermittently (usually when super SUPER bored - POF is fab-lite. The crossover of members is astounding "
So was FB dating while I was on there back in the days, surprisingly (or not). |

It was shit. Men pretending they are looking for relationships when all they were looking for was a quick shag. When I joined Fab, I found 99% of them on here as well. It was scary because you put your face pictures on FB for everyone to see so easy recognisable if you’re not being careful.
I think there was an option to hide yourself from your friends/friends of friends but I can’t remember now.
It’s only my experience but maybe it’s different for different people.
One of my friends found a really nice guy on there and they are getting married this Christmas. |

I have tried many dating sites over the years. For the most part the men are looking for great sex, not a relationship necessarily. Ironically so are the majority of women.
On fab we’re at least honest about our initial want.
I cannot be bothered with online dating, so I shall just stick to here and real life. The two places I have the most succes! |

I have a profile on Tinder that I never use.
Occasionally I will look and see if anyone catches my eye.
But it's something I do out of depression and desperation and I never walk away from it feeling hopeful and happy.
It's just not for me |

Oh good I'm sorry to hear that pink, let's hope that you are able to get them down and this is the only site it is on. |

I'm trying to register on POF, but something goes wrong after I enter my interests.
Anyone else having the same problem?
How did you get around it?
They sent me an email saying my registration wasn't complete and they text me a code on the phone when I log in to complete the registration, but again, as I enter the interests or hobbies, something goes haywire.

I've tried normal dating sites, and they shred my self esteem to pieces. They're all on this swimp nonsense now. I can't face being sat judging people in quick succession, and knowing people all over are doing the very same to me. I socialise and meet people. I have a much better time in person, where I can be charming and cute and interact properly. Fab is different, because I'm not looking to impress anyone into a date. I use this site to talk to people and make friends, where there are a lot less expectations. |

"No I'm not. On fab, there's no delusion , you know exactly what you are getting. Keep your expectations low and anything else is a bonus! " this! I don’t like regular dating sites. I always feel like a charlatan that’s going to either hide my pervy side (never gonna happen) or make some kind of confession, that I’m supposed to feel guilty about. Also, never going to happen. I’m sorry but a vanilla sex life means a shallow character to me. |

I have always found PoF to be fruitful.
A high proportion of dates turn out to be a 'hole in one'. Lots of women want no strings dates, a few are looking for marriage but more just want occasional sex.
My main gripe is the geographical ambiguity of London being seen as a local area. As a non paying member I can only send one new opening message per day. When used, that is nearly always wasted on finding out that someone is an impossible journey away. I wish the site would ask members to be more specific with their location. Plenty of Fish started in Vancouver which is much smaller than Greater London.
At least on here distance in local searches is a bit more realistic, give or take bridges and tunnels between Essex and Kent. |

"No, I'm too old for dating sites."
I'm your age and not too old. Trouble is people think age matters and it doesn't. I get more young ladies than my age. |

Muggles and Swingers, imagine going on a successful date and part of the conversation is that you are happy to fuck other people and swap. How many regular people would accept that? Someone setup Fab Dating where existing swingers can couple up. |

I've used dating apps in the past and have had relationships from them...but they are awful nowadays!
Loads of fake profiles on Tinder and bumble is just hard work...at least people on here seem more honest about what they want... sometimes haha |

That must be so hard to do but you will find friends soon enough. I moved to where I am. No friends here or family.. I drive to my friends houses as too far to walk. Scotland is on my bucket list |

I dip in and out of the apps, but the main reason I decided to return to Fab was because everyone I seemed to meet on other sites was also on here. I must be drawn to the Fab type lol |

As a swinger of 20 years plus dare I say within this question lays some of the downside of fabs now.
Dating is dating
Fabs isn’t a dating site, but since swinging is now so “trendy” the element who use fabs to find an easy fuck dilute the lifestyle!
Yep just an opinion
But true swingers will understand my point and agree
If you’re looking for dates generally then absolutely use the dating apps, I’m not putting them down.
If you’re looking for an easy fuck then there are apps that will help you… and yes you’ll find that here too, but don’t kid yourself into believing by doing so that you’re swinging.

To be honest,I get more action out of FB than here. Have tried POF and Feeld with limited success previously too. Some randoms, some old collegues, some old school friends. Take a look at who regularly likes your stuff, you could be missing out! |

We met on one. (hinge).
Have tried others, only after I met M did I find out that Tinder and PoF were more hookup than dating. Well at least according to her.
Also pretty sure as a bi women she had a sizeable pool to pick from.

Yes but only hinge now, been patiently searching for the person to take me off this site for good for about 5 years now.
Love fab and attending clubs while single but this is not my choice of lifestyle - just keeps me sane until I find my one.
Plus I find having this side to me really helps me out the guys on the apps that just want sex - because I have that sorted haha. |

I would have said you were sniping on all platforms but your record is dismal so probably can’t say that.
Yeah, long term is indeed a few hookups now. |
