Talking to meets via statuses

What’s everyone’s thoughts on status etiquette when meeting someone?

Do you post “got a meet tonight, can’t wait” proudly on your status? Or would you be mortified if someone did that about you?

Are you eager to subliminally message that certain someone via your status update - “you know who you are”, or does it make you cringe inside?

Keen to know fabs thoughts on the issue

I think 'applying the clap cream so my meet doesn't get it' might be improper, but hey, us fellas don't get enough attention. Shout out loud you've got a meet

To me it’s a bit cringe. I don’t mind social and cam veris on here but meets I keep private.

Could just tell them. Status posts for me are to catch the eye of someone browsing, not look at me I need attention

I don’t mind most veri’s, but I can understand why you and others like to keep them completely private. I only show a couple of mine.

Yeah I find messaging via statuses cringe. I saw one today that was a combination of bragging they had a meet, combined with pressuring the person they had an arrangement with.

I’d run a mile if I saw someone doing that about me.

I find them cringe but I'm nosey so there is an appeal for the drama llama (sits shamefully in the corner).

I'm the same, I'm ashamed to say my hotlist is full of people who put up ranty status updates, endlessly entertaining!

I'd not read them and maybe it's sweet for some but seems full-on cringe

I actually watched 2 women argue over a man on here through their status updates, one of them named him so I had a look at his profile, he put up a status about how he wasn't taking sides and they both turned on him, it was brilliant better than Eastenders!!

Were the rest of Fab all sitting back shouting "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry"?

I (Mr) think these status updates are usually by the same people who place similar ones on Facebook. You know the ones who post something like "What a crap day, glad someone benefitted from my bad luck". Their sole intention is for someone to ask them a question, so they can reply back with some rubbish about not being able to talk about it.

I keep mines blank, or change it to "reading".

I do see a lot of cringe statuses, i just continue scrolling past those. Especially ones that seem overly dramatic.

I try to keep statuses as casual/discreet as possible myself.
