Distance

We are interested to know peoples preferences on distance they would travel for a meet.

We are tied by having dogs and it means we are not really able to travel without a large amount of planning and dog sitter costs.

We are happy to host the right couples are ladies overnight but just wondering if that is something people would consider doing.

There are plenty of single guys locally, so that’s not a consideration.

I don’t mind distance but that said it all depends how the meet is set up.

What I mean is where am I staying, now that all depends on whether there’s actual chemistry, purely a social or we are having fun.

Personally I don’t meet couples and I know you’re not looking for males in this post but the last couple I met wanted me to leave instantly afterwards so they could be together. The meet itself was really good and they wanted a repeat. But by asking me to leave straight after, honestly I felt a bit used. There are three sets of emotions to deal with, not just theirs.

So I did not meet them again or nor would I other couples without really working the detail out

I normally don’t mind travelling to most places depending on the preparation. If it’s last minute I’d only go local but if it’s somewhere where I can plan a few days or weeks in advance and get a hotel then I’d happily travel to most places and maybe plan to see some more of the country as a bonus

But I’d only consider it if I got on with the couple or woman in question

As a single middle-aged woman, I don't really travel for meets. I hate driving in the UK, train fares are astronomical, the coaches make me travel sick and I sleep better in my own bed...what sleep I do get.

Also I live in London, plenty of people I can meet here or go to clubs. In addition, as a single female, I don't go to people's homes or have them come to my home on the first meet.

There are women who are open to this but I'm not sure how many.

Most couples I know just have to go with who is when they are free. Couple schedules are notoriously difficult to align....4 different work jobs, 4 different family (& pet) arrangements, and 4 different responsibilities.

We love to travel. However we wouldn't travel far for a couple we'd not met before in person (unless they were continent in existing plans). There's just seems so much that can go wrong or fall through with people off the Internet. However we'd quite happily travel to be with people we know and rather fond of.

50 miles is about it, give or take.

The way we see it, we have clubs 50 miles north and 50 miles south of us. Roughly.

Meaning if people are prepared to travel as far as we are that's a 200 mile north to south radius where we could meet people from where noone has to travel more than 50 miles.

Seems a wide enough net. If someone really wanted to travel in from further afield we aren't opposed, but we wouldn't necessarily recommend they do so as it will be a hell of a wasted trip if the chemistry doesn't work on the day

Personally, I tend to do a distance of around an hour away. Although, admittedly I have met people further away, although it's normally because I have planned to do something alongside the meet. Typically, a visit to a new beach, see a show or something else. So, if we didn't click it wouldn't matter as I would still have had a good day out

We tend to look at whether the people we are interested in are in a place we’d like to go, and then make a weekend if it. Sometimes meeting half way works. Another advantage of Clubs

We make a weekend of it normally and in summer we do it on the bikes. We would not count anyone out on distance as its all good fun
